The Gateway to Place-based School Improvement in Plymouth
Every school in Plymouth has committed to working together to improve outcomes for their young people across the city. Working closely with key partners such as the Education Endowment Fund, Plymouth Local Authority, the Regional Schools’ Commissioner, and others, Headteachers, MAT CEOs and their leadership teams have chosen to take a collaborative and sustainable approach to ensure rapid school improvement.

Access the Document LibraryThe strategic goal for 2023-24 is to ‘Increase inclusion across all schools and the community– every child included 100% of their time in Plymouth schools’.
Our three key priorities are:
Goal 1 : Increase school attendance so that the overall attendance figure for Plymouth schools is above 96%.
Develop leadership capacity within and across phases in Plymouth so that school improvement is sustainable
GOAL 2 : Identify special educational needs early so that appropriate and timely support is in place.
GOAL 3: Reduce pupil educational mobility across the city so that all pupils have access to high-quality educational provision all the time
